What was it about the franchise model and or leadership that led you to purchase it?

What drew me to Pizza Factory was the amazing food and how the restaurant would be involved with the community and schools. At the time I purchased the franchise, Pizza Factory wasn’t growing as much as they are today. With the current new leadership in place, I feel really confident in the direction we’re headed.

 

What type of business experience, education, and/or skills did you have prior to becoming a franchisee that you have found particularly helpful? 

I had just graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Cal State Stanislaus when I purchased my first store. I had also worked in restaurants and customer service. The skills I attained were good building blocks for starting of my own franchise.

 

What do you like most about your job? 

What I like most is working with my managers and employees to always improve our stores and customer experiences. I also like working with all the communities we’re a part of

 

How did you fund your franchise?

I purchased my first store with a loan from my parents. It was a big help not having to pay interest, especially when first starting out!

 

What advice do you have for prospective franchise buyers?

Make sure you want to be the face of your stores or have someone who cares as much as you do to be that person. Don’t get into a franchise because other franchisees are making a lot of money – it doesn’t always translate to every store. Research the area you want to open, and ask existing franchisees a lot of questions.
